Surveillance Sensors
  • SAR Direction Finder Antenna
  • Weather Radar with search capability
  • Flight crew and two cabin observers (visual) 
  • Side-Looking Airborne Radar (SLAR) with two antennae
  • Thermal Imager & LLTV camera in gyrostabilized ball (EO/IR)

SLAR Coverage

Electro-optical Infrared (EO/IR) Sensor
  • Thermal imagery in three-to-five micron spectrum
  • Two-axis stabilization utilizing solid state fiber optic gyroscopes (FOG) to deliver stable images
  • Designed and tested to deliver reliable imaging under adverse weather conditions and at night
  • The gyro-stabilized ball also houses a low-light-level television camera with zoom lens

Short Range Sensor Coverage

Medevac
  • A special SAR stretcher has been developed specifically for the CL-415 installation
  • The stretchers can be installed in quick removable three-stretcher stacks on both sides in the forward cabin
  • The stretcher support structure is designed to be quickly installed or removed for easy aircraft configuration conversion
