SAR Direction Finder Antenna
- Weather Radar with search capability
- Flight crew and two cabin observers (visual)
- Side-Looking Airborne Radar (SLAR) with two antennae
- Thermal Imager & LLTV camera in gyrostabilized ball (EO/IR)
SLAR Coverage
Thermal imagery in three-to-five micron spectrum
- Two-axis stabilization utilizing solid state fiber optic gyroscopes (FOG) to deliver stable images
- Designed and tested to deliver reliable imaging under adverse weather conditions and at night
- The gyro-stabilized ball also houses a low-light-level television camera with zoom lens
Short Range Sensor Coverage
A special SAR stretcher has been developed specifically for the CL-415 installation
- The stretchers can be installed in quick removable three-stretcher stacks on both sides in the forward cabin
- The stretcher support structure is designed to be quickly installed or removed for easy aircraft configuration conversion
